Matric Farewell Photography is not something that I have been doing for a while.  Since my kids left school I took a bit of a break doing Matric Farewells.  Since relocating to Gauteng I got the hunger to do them again.

When an old school friend asked me to do her daughter’s farewell photos, I could not say NO.

Only one problem.  Her dad was my idol when we grew up in Witbank.  Oom Piet Cloete was the Photographer in town and he literally took photos of me as I grew up.  Every year oom Piet was at school taking our school photos, as well as some family photos at his studio.  So I knew I had to bring my A-game to keep this family happy.  AND I got to take photos of my Idol.  What and honour.

On Friday 26 August I went through to Witbank for the shoot. It was nice to see Yolande and Adrien who also got married as High School sweethearts.  Lane their daughter is an avid show-jumper, and I decided to take her photos at their plot, with the horses as part of the shoot.

The light was very nice and I am very happy with the results that I got.  I kept most of the photos as natural as possible.  Only a few photos I have edited with a different style or in Black and White.  Yolande, I hope that these photos are what you were looking for?  LOL  Knowing that your dad will see them too gave me some nervous minutes.
